New Blog!

Journal Entry: Fri Sep 11, 2009, 9:46 PM
Hello, my beloved watchers! (And anyone else who may have stopped by- please, kick back, make yourself at home.) I've just started up a new 18th century-themed blog, and it is just too glamourous for words. Just check it out:

Can you feel the glamour? Aw, yeah!

  • Watching: just finished Lars and the Real Girl
  • Playing: just finished Braid- OMG awesome

My name is Lauren, and I use period materials and techniques to recreate the clothing of the 18th century, particularly the fashions worn during the Revolutionary War. Everything I'm wearing in these pictures is made from natural materials (linen, cotton, or wool) and handmade by me unless stated otherwise. All the visible stitching on these pieces is done by hand to resemble the fashions of the period.

All photos were taken by ~WanderingIrishman.

Thanks so much for allowing me to use your photos. Actually I'm excited about it. I really appreciate it. I'll be sure to mention where I got the photos from. Thanks again.

Thanks for replying. The content and atmosphere of your clothing in the settings that they appear in are just what I am interested in. It would be great for a drawing or a painting. Thanks for thinking about it. I'll be waiting for your reply.

I spoke to my photographer and he says he's perfectly open to the idea. Just be sure and credit us both when you post it. I'm looking forward to seeing the results!

Great photos of period clothing. I am an artist and I would like your permission to use your photos to draw or paint and to do up prints. I would appreciate it very much. This is want I've been looking for. It's hard to find someone to pose for me and these are just great. Think about it and please let me know. Thanks.

Thank you for your interest! I will have to discuss the use of my photos with ~WanderingIrishman, as he is my photographer. I will let you know very soon.
